Sofie Howard’s Malibu Mobile Home Gets a Bohemian ’70s Makeover

The ideal artwork/trend/design has tension—a press and pull amongst textures, colors, and designs. This current undertaking by a Remodelista favourite, LA-dependent Reath Structure, has that coveted rigidity in spades. It is a modest cellular household, but sited in an distinctive Malibu Seashore neighborhood. It feels youthful still worldly. It juxtaposes somber, autumnal colours with far more spring-like lavenders and greens. It spots vintage rattan stools upcoming to a luxurious, coloration-blocked velvet sectional.

And it all in some way operates. “I’m the happiest woman in the globe when I’m right here,” says Sofie Howard, a image producer who has worked for large-profile shoppers like Nike and Beats by Dre. Longtime good friend and Reath founder Frances Merrill experienced now labored her magic on Sofie’s prior two homes (one of which was a smaller mobile household in the very same sought-following trailer park group of Paradise Cove), so Sofie knew she could have confidence in her to redo her beach shack—but make it manner.

The full venture was seamless—”When the belief is already created up, it definitely flies,” claims Frances—but getting that easy search takes exertion. The critical? “Test, exam, take a look at, examination all over again. And then make a leap.”
