Virtual workshop to focus on small-business marketing

Central Florida SCORE will partner with The African American Chamber of Commerce-Polk County to host a small-business virtual workshop, “Bootstrap Your Marketing,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7. Speakers Teresa Martinez; LaTrice Moore, Doctorate of Business Administration in marketing; and Kate Lake will share ideas for cost-effective ways to promote your business. Small-business funding workshop April 13

Central Florida SCORE will host a small-business workshop “Funding the Dream” on April 13 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at My Office & More, 122 E. Main St., Lakeland. Danish and coffee is served at 7:45 a.m. C.J. Castro from the Small Business Administration and Lamont Jackson from the Black Business Investment Fund will discuss what you need to know before applying for financing, how to access capital through the SBA, and how to get free counseling and technical assistance.
