Lucy’s Beach Shack Living Room Transformation

Lucy’s Beach Shack Living Room Transformation

Leaning in to the peaceful, coastal vibe, we chosen a heat white for the partitions. Encompass by Laminex wall panelling comes pre-primed and all set to paint – we started out off applying paint to all the deep grooves with a paintbrush, before applying two coats of paint with a roller – rolling horizontally in line with the panels.

Then, we went a little bit mad and created our have sofa (!) – with a tiny assist from our mates at Zenn Style and design. Gordy crafted the sofa foundation with drawers underneath to maximise storage, and Zenn Structure established the custom made upholstery applying working with Warwick Fabrics’ Cheshire Paprika fabric.

We styled the sofa with scatter cushions from Weave, which incorporate a nice graphic contact, contrasting with the sheer linen curtains, once again built by Zenn Layout, working with Warwick Fabrics’ Burano Eggshell linen weave

As soon as the home furnishings and curtains had been in, it was time to feel about lights. This room had pre-present downlights, but we have been eager to increase a pair additional (dimmable!) gentle sources to inject a little extra atmosphere. We went with a wall mounted reading through lamp higher than the couch (its the Lamp de Marseille by Le Corbusier, which you can get at Cult, though this one particular is vintage). Higher than the eating desk, we went with the genuinely properly-priced Dampier Lantern 70 pendant lamp by The Culture inc, put in good and low.

A very careful edit of occasional household furniture, artwork and handcrafted objects are the finishing touches that comprehensive this glance. I’m so content with how this room turned out! And now… to tackle the relaxation of the house!
