Langdon Florist of Tribeca sheds light on family, women-owned small businesses for Mother’s Day

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Langdon Florist of Tribeca, located at 1263 Clove Road, is the perfect place to purchase a beautiful bouquet for Mother’s Day.

Originally located at 62 Reade Street in downtown Manhattan, Joseph Rizzo, one of the owners of Langdon Florist of Tribeca, brought his business to Staten Island in 2018. This allowed his daughters, Gracie Rizzo and Stephanie Doiban, to become more involved in the business and become owners.

Gracie Rizzo explained the dynamic of the shop and the dedication that goes into each floral arrangement. “We’re family-owned and operated, and I think what makes us unique is that our staff is predominantly female. We’re hard-working moms with a passion for this industry, all things beautiful, and all the little details.”

Langdon Florist of Tribeca creates arrangements for every event imaginable, no matter how big or small. From corporate events to major or micro weddings and birthday parties, they have been able to service it all. Mother’s Day is often a busy time for Langdon Florist of Tribeca, followed by Valentine’s Day and wedding season.

Langdon Florist of Tribeca is all about supporting other women-owned small businesses. They have worked with other women-owned businesses such as Hope Floats Balloons, Pumpkinly Prints Paperie, and Sweet Flour Pastry. They have also worked within the Staten Island community and have worked for Angelina’s Ristorante.

Gracie Rizzo also described the fierce dedication and talent she’s seen from these women-owned small businesses. “There’s a lot of great women out here showing a lot of talent.”
