Luxurious flower boxes have been ordered under Cristiano Ronaldo’s name at an exclusive Birmingham florist for Mother’s Day. The beautiful £600 set is made up of exquisite rainbow roses and a red rose which lasts for a decade.
Upmarket online retailer Envie Roses – which has a warehouse near the Mailbox in the city centre – said they were ‘chuffed and over the moon’ when the order was seemingly made by the football icon this week. And they say are certain it is the Manchester United forward after one of their staff members spoke to the legendary player over the phone.
They said three boxes of vibrant roses and a single luxurious stem rose in a glass dome will be delivered to a penthouse address in the Manchester area over the weekend. They said CR7’s personalised requested message, sent through their website in Portuguese, translates on the box as: “Always with me in my heart.”

The upmarket Birmingham firm – which has a host of celebrity clients – said they are “proud Brummies.” Janel Steinberg, from Envie Roses, told BirminghamLive: “As we near Mother’s Day, we are chuffed and excited, that Cristiano Ronaldo has placed an order for his mum.
“All staff here are over the moon, there is currently a fight amongst staff to who will do delivery! We all know he loves his mum, he’s a true champ!
“Even though London has many floral companies, he chose us here in Birmingham. We are proud Brummies for sure.”
Ronaldo’s mum Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, 67, has been a huge influence during his glittering career with her unwavering love and support. The family man posted a touching Instagram message on her birthday at the end of last year.
The message was translated into English which reportedly said: “Happy birthday to the best mother in the world, a warrior who always taught me not to give up, the best grandmother my children could ever dream of having… I love you so much, my mother! Kiss.”
Envie Roses logistics manager Adam Qureshi is convinced the five-time Ballon d’Or winner ordered the roses, which originate from Ecuador. And he hopes the star’s mum enjoys the flowers on mothering Sunday.
The personalised glass dome translates into English as: “I love you Mommy.” It features a rose which has been injected with water molecules to keep it fresh for 10 years.
Mr Qureshi told BirminghamLive: “We have an address for a penthouse block and we confirmed the delivery time with him over the phone. What we believe from our conversation is that his mum is visiting him in Manchester.
“He ordered three boxes of multi-coloured roses and a Lady Helen – which is a preserved fresh rose which lasts for up to 10 years – in a glass dome.
“It’s a big deal for us as he could have used many floral companies. We have had many affluent people order from us because of the packaging and the service we provide. But he is the most famous for sure.”
He added: “People assume that Valentine’s Day is the biggest day for flower gifting. It actually isn’t – it’s Mother’s Day. You have to have someone you love on Valentine’s – but everyone has a mother.”
