The Pink Warrior stands sentry in the living room. It’s the perfect emblem for Studio Terpeluk’s renovation of the Redwood House, a home belonging to an art-collecting couple in San Francisco’s verdant Noe Valley. That’s because the residence also boldly bridges past and present.
With its rich redwood finishes complemented by expansive glazing and vibrant art and design — including a life-sized sculpture by Wanxin Zhang (top image) — the Redwood House achieves a dramatic chiaroscuro effect.
